Building the Bridge:

With the PICPilot sending and receiving data via it's USB interface and Flightgear sending and receiving data via its UDP port, all that remains is to tie the two together. For this task I decided to create a custom application that would sit between the two and shuttle the data back and forth. Although not the most universal solution, I decided to write the application in Borland Builder. I'm very familiar with the builder environment and knew I could get something up and running very quickly. It should be fairly easy to port the application to something more cross platform friendly should the need arise.
